This is the ninth of ten updates before the release of 3.07. With only a week left before the Nexus release, I’m not sure if the miscellaneous witch quest will make it but we’ll see.

I added another NPC in the meantime. Arelthor (Patrick Mahoney) is a character I might  use in a future Thalmor related quest after The Aldmeri Prisoner is finished. Similar to the Radiant Dark, I like introducing NPCs in passing and then having them play a part in later endeavors.

This version corrects a couple of bugs related to Ariele and Fa’nar. Specifically, Ariel’s ward had dialogue conditioned to all vanilla Argonians. Meanwhile the script that disables Robber’s Refuge patrons depending on the day of the week didn’t account for whether Fa’nar was your husband.

If he’s disabled and you’re married, just enter Robber’s Refuge again and he should enable regardless of the day.

This version corrects an issue with Vaughn where he wasn’t following properly. So you’d pay him his 1000 gold fee and then he’d just sit there grinning like a dillweed. He’ll still do that, the grinning, but at least now he’ll get out of the chair.

Hjoromir's First Sword - Rak'sada has gifted his squire with sword. He chose a lightweight but deadly one since Hjoromir has not the arms of a brutish warrior.

This is version v3.09.2, which features a beta release of a new NPC, Treads-the-Ashes, written by Lindsey Lorraine and voiced by James McLauchlan. You can initiate the encounter by walking along the eastern coast, a few miles north of the Wreck of the Winter War.

I also altered the aliases in Spell it Out for Me so they don’t fill if the target is already dead. Also conditioned the marker on Lagdu and Lurgok not to appear unless they’ve been enabled.

Here’s a quick update to fix Treads’ dismissal, which was erroneously conditioned to Meresine being in your party. I also went through all the quests and ticked the Allow Reserved box for all NPCs, as recently a user reported problems with aliases filling unless the box was ticked. And if an alias doesn’t fill, then nothing will work, so hopefully ticking all those boxes will help solve any issues on that front.

The BSA is the same this week, as none of the scripts, sound files, or mesh/textures changed from the previous release.

EDIT: Doh, I guess I did add a few scripts after all, at the request of this Reddit user who wanted to kill Froa. Re-uploaded the BSA with the death-causing scripts.

This is version 0.02 of the Fallout 3 Bundle. It has additional follower commentary lines, some bug fixes, and three new quests. Special thanks to all the folks who’ve been testing and reporting bugs.

Going forward, I’m going to focus a little bit more on the followers and try and get their commentary more fleshed out. The one other thing I want to add is a unique AM radio channel that’ll focus more on talking and commercial spots as opposed to music, for which there are already plenty of mods to choose from. I think along with the background NPCs it’ll be a nice final touch to round out the bundle, so look for that in future updates.

Here’s version 3.16. This version has a few tweaks suggested by Madcat221 as well as a fix for Haakon Iron-Fist, who for some reason is now turning violent the moment you enter the Bloodworks.

The problem is the trigger box is suddenly failing to recognize the difference between Haakon and the player. Perhaps the Dragonborn was a sadistic Stormcloak in another life. The box will now check to see if the door is locked or not before Haakon attempts to escape.

  • Raised level cap of Darkened Steel ghosts

  • Fixed issue where Alassea, Amalee, and Skjarn would run their innkeeper scene in all inns

Here’s version 3.18. There’s a few typos and other mismatched lines that aragonit pointed out recently, so those should now be working properly. Viridiane also sung a little tune that I’ve added to Zora‘s idle commentary, just some traveling music more or less.

Still only a 50% shot the idle will run, even then. Hopefully that will keep it somewhat rare. If Viridiane makes any more of them I’ll be happy to add them to her saylist, which is like a playlist, only you say it.

Here’s version 3.19. Not much in this update, but 1ndaJone5 made a nice little comb mesh/texture to add to Veralene‘s inventory. Also put in a failsafe script for the mod marriage candidates, in the event the post-wedding sandbox scene gets stuck.

I think the scene is temporary anyway (it’s conditioned to only run when you’re in the cell), but it doesn’t hurt to put a stop to it, just in case there’s some confusion as to why your wifey/husband isn’t following you out the door.

Here’s the tenth update and with it a new torrent. At some point I might put it all into a single BSA but at the moment there’s still enough tinkering that necessitates the smaller updates. Had some report an issue with Children Fair, I think it’s a recent problem since I never used to flag things as interruptible, but this scene was, probably because of another report where the scene got stuck. Ah well, since the scene is stopped via a script, can’t see why there’s an interruptible flag, so I removed it.

  • Children Fair – Fixed potential issue where after picking up the crystal, scene where Marigoth puts you inside is interrupted, thus removed “interruptible” flag from scene

Tears of the Hist- Alice Bell/Fjona Cover

It’s been well over three years since I initially recorded Tears of the Hist for Fjona/Interesting NPCs, and let’s just say that after three years I feel like my voice has improved. A lot.

Or maybe it just got lower. I dunno

Anyway, here it is for your listening pleasure or torture, depending on how much you like/dislike the sound of a strangled cat wailing mournfully into the microphone
